Doulton
Filter Elements
At the heart of every
Doulton and Doulton ceramic filter is the “Sterasyl”
silver impregnated ceramic microfilter.
The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure
inhibits the growth of bacteria giving the ceramics self-sterilizing
properties and removes the need for boiling of the filter to remove or
kill the impurities within the ceramic pores. The Doulton range of
ceramic filter elements starts with the “Sterasyl” and with added
core medias can become a three stage filter in one, eliminating the
need for expensive 4 and 5 stage systems. Doulton ceramics do not
remove the beneficial minerals from the water, ensuring the filtered
water is enjoyable to drink and yet safe from harmful impurities.
Doulton “Slimline”
elements are available in candle format (for use in the Doulton range
of housings) and OBE format (open both ends for use in industry
standard type housings) all measuring 2” in diameter. All ceramic
elements are based upon the Sterasyl outer shell with various types of
core materials for different applications.

Candle format — Domed
end
For use in Doulton range (such as HIP/HCP and gravity filter
housings). Available with either a 3/4” (S) or 1 1/4” (L) thread
mount. The HIP/HCP/HIS use 3/4” mount, whereas the gravity filters
use the 1 1/4” thread mount. Other lengths are available, upon
request.
OBE format — Open on
both ends
Standard size is 2” x 9.75” for use in “Industry Standard” 10
inch housings.
